There are about a quadrillion reasons I’m pumped to go to Finland in a few weeks, despite the fact I STILL don’t have a dog-sitter for Max.
One of the reasons is that I’m sick of Germans’ passive-aggressive bullshit. Most days I can handle it, but lately, the whole thing makes me feel like I’m been time-warped back to the fourth grade. None of that in Finland… not with the people I’m going to see.
I believe J.’s exact words were “You proved me wrong, because I thought only Finns were down to earth.” Actually, I’m pretty sure those weren’t the exact words, but you get the picture — OPPOSITE of passive-aggressive drama, that.
Because if nothing else, they are down to earth and open. And warm. And welcoming. And Finland looks like Canada. And the lakes. And the trees. And E. Gawd I miss her.
Yay for Finland and annual vacations there!!
(Pointless post about something you’re sick of me rambling on about? Yes, I’m aware.)
